Volunteer

WE are Currently NOT recruiting volunteers.  Thank you for your interest.

Remy is our special little boy with autism.  We’re seeking extraordinary individuals to be part of our Son-Rise Program®.  This is a nonjudgmental child-centred program built upon an attitude of acceptance and unconditional love.   Your passionate involvement as a volunteer could deeply change Remy’s life as well as your own in the most positive ways!

No Experience Necessary; we will provide on-going training!

We’re looking for volunteers who...
  •  have energy, excitement and enthusiasm
  •  are open-hearted and open-minded
  •  are reliable and can make a weekly commitment of 4 to 5 hours, for a minimum of 6 months

Please send us an email as to why you would want to volunteer.  We'll send you an application.

Have a beautiful day!

P.S.  Here are some inspirational stories on video.  First is Jade's full recovery from autism.  The 3rd clip of Jade's Story shows the group of volunteers all together sharing letters that they have written for Jade.  The fourth video is Jake's full recovery story.  I thank these families for sharing their empowering and inspirational stories.  What examples of hope.

Volunteer Responsibilities

The following is a sample description of The Son-Rise Program® and what is involved in becoming a volunteer.
A home-based Son-Rise Program® is founded upon an attitude of love and acceptance. We use the approached outlined in the award-winning book and TV movie, Son-Rise, by Barry Neil Kaufman. As parents and directors of a program that uses the Option Process®, we have been trained to create a wonderfully nurturing and stimulating environment for our special child, to encourage a bonding that can invite our child to want to know more and participate with us to an even greater extent. Our intention is to help our child to be all they can be.
As a volunteer, you will be trained in the child-centred methods of The Son-Rise Program®. As you become an integral team member in creating this nonjudgmental and fun environment, you will become an extended family member in our child’s life, while at the same time recharging your own sense of aliveness and well-being.
Your Volunteer Training Includes:
  • Specific instruction in methods of The Son-Rise Program to help special children.
  • Hands-on learning while working individually with a child.
  • Regular feedback sessions. These times are designed to help you analyse and understand your interactions with our child in order to help you become more effective in helping him grow.
  • Group meetings. A key aspect of home-base programs, where we and all of your volunteers come together to share our excitement and experiences with our child, and to help design/redesign the ongoing foci and content of the program.
